COVID-19 Vaccines & Therapies Update Presentation

The purpose of this seminar is to provide an overview of the COVID-19 vaccines and associated therapies presented by Dr. Baird. Dr. Baird is a licensed pharmacist who is board certified in pharmacotherapy. He teaches BIO 4011: Vaccines and Global Health as well as PHR 3102: Pathopharmacology II at Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing. Inija Miller, a senior at BSMCON, presented the first portion of the program, covering the basic science of active and passive immunity.

February 2021 – SCHS staff wore red to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease.

This holiday season, the faculty and staff at SCHS spread some holiday cheer by sending Christmas cards to residents in local nursing homes (Dunlop House and Colonial Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Center). 
SCHS students, faculty and staff donated close to 50 boxes to Operation Christmas Child. Thank you to all who contributed.

October 2020 – The students and faculty of SCHS donated 355 pounds of non-perishable items to the Colonial Heights Food Pantry.   The food and monetary donations will help to provide 3 solid meals to close to 100 people. 
Constitution Day was commemorated with patriotic activities and goodies. September 17th is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is normally observed on September 17, the day in 1787 that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia.
