There are two separate admissions criteria depending on when and where the applicant graduated.

  1. Applicants will be considered Non-Transitional Applicants if: Graduated from SCHS School of Radiation Sciences after 2013
  2. Applicants will be considered Transitional Applicants if: Graduated from SCHS School of Radiation Sciences before 2013 Graduated from any non-SCHS radiologic technology program

Non-Transitional Applicants

Non-Transitional Applicants-Admission Criteria*

  • High school diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma)
  • Graduate from SCHS School of Radiation Sciences after 2013
  • Current non-restricted ARRT(R) certification in radiography
  • Successful completion (C or better) of the following pre-requisite college courses from an accredited institution prior to entry:
    • Human Anatomy & Physiology I – 4 credits
    • Human Anatomy & Physiology II – 4 credits
    • College Algebra or Statistics – 3 credits
    • English Composition I – 3 credits
    • English Elective – 3 credits
    • General or Developmental Psychology – 3 credits
    • Social Sciences Elective – 3 credits
    • History Elective – 3 credits
    • Humanities Elective – 3 credits
    • Ethics – 3 credits
    • Statistics or Higher – 3 credits
    • Communications (Public Speaking) – 3 credits
  • Applicants who are not a U.S. citizen by birth must provide immigration or citizenship documentation. The school does not participate in the SEVIS program.
  • Two (2) professional recommendation questionnaires; one must be from an employer or faculty.

Non-Transitional Applicants-Admission Process:

Application Review

  • Completed application
  • A non-refundable $70 application fee (fee waiver available if applicable)
  • Official transcripts from high school or GED documentation
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary education (colleges, universities)
  • Copy of current, non-restricted ARRT(R) certification in radiography
  • Two (2) professional recommendation questionnaires; one from an employer or faculty.

Application Deadline: To be considered for the fall 2020 semester which begins in August, a completed application (application, fee, and all transcripts) must be received by June 1st. Applicants who are in the process of taking pre-requisite general education courses in the summer (only) may submit an application; however, full acceptance will not be granted until official transcripts are received by Validation.

Acceptance to the program is based on previous academic history, prerequisite grade point average, health certifications, work experience, and two (2) professional recommendation questionnaires.

Admission is offered to qualified applicants on a space available basis.

Transitional Applicants

Transitional Applicants-Admission Criteria*:

    • TAMI 300 – Advanced Medical Imaging Orientation – 3 credits
    • TAMI 310 – Advanced Medical Imaging Transition – 3 credits
    • TAMI 340 – Healthcare Economics – 3 credits
    • TAMI 370 – Digital Imaging – 3 credits
