The Bachelor of Science in Advanced Medical Imaging program would allow students to earn a baccalaureate degree following completion of an accredited radiologic technology program and be eligible to take a modality certification examination. Didactic courses are offered online and a clinical component is required at specific clinical sites throughout the program. Applicants can choose one of three modality tracts that are offered yearly:

For more information about any of the above careers, visit the Bureau of Labor and Statistics website at https://www.bls.gov/ooh/healthcare/radiologic-technologists.htm

First class will be admitted in Fall 2020 and all other classes thereafter will be admitted annually in August (Fall Semester).

The Bachelor of Science in Advanced Medical Imaging degree is a completion program and will be awarded to students who have successfully completed 120 credit hours of coursework with two curriculum plans depending on the applicant; Non-Transitional and Transitional.

  • Non-Transitional Candidates
    • The 120 credit program consists of 51 credits in radiologic technology, 38 general education credits (pre-requisite credits), and 31 advanced medical imaging credits.
  • Transitional Candidates
    • The 120 credit program consists of 36 credits from a current non-restricted registration with the ARRT in radiography, 41 general education credits (pre-requisite credits), 12 credits from the four transitional courses, and 31 advanced medical imaging credits.

Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to take the American Registry of Radiographic Technologists’ National exam (ARRT) for certification and registration in Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Mammography (M).
